Challenge: I ought to use this more!

I am entering Simon Says Monday Challenge: I ought to us this more!  I ought to use my Watercolor Pencils more!  I have never used Watercolor Pencils before.  When I think of watercolors, I always think back to when I was in grade school using those box watercolors.  I was never good with them.  My picture always ended up as a soupy mess.  No matter what colors I mixed they always became brown.  I was so surprised with Watercolor Pencils.  I loved them so much, I woke my husband up in the middle of the night waving a pencil in one hand and a paintbrush in the other declaring that they were the best thing since sliced bread.  Unfortunately, he didn't share my enthusiasm and promptly went back to sleep.

I used the following supplies:

1. Ranger Archival Ink
2. Lawn Fawn Stamps "Love you S'more"
2. Lawn Fawn Craft Dies "Love you S'more"
3. Prismacolor Watercolor Pencils
4. Gelly Roll Sparkle Pen

Challenge: Magic

Here is my entry into Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Magic.  I must confess, I didn't have anything in my card making stash that was magic related.  I didn't have papers, stamp sets, a magic wand, or anything.  I had to improvise a lot!  The card base is red card stock.  I stamped the rabbit and colored it with my colored pencils.  I had to make the wand and hat from scratch.  I drew the hat and wand on black card stock free handed.  Then I paper pieced the wand and hat with red and white card stock.  I added the final touches with my colored pencils.  The playing cards I cut out from white card stock and stamped the stars from Simon Says Stamp "All Boy" Stamp set.  I'm not sure what brand the individual wooden stamp letters I used are.  It was an inexpensive wooden stamp set  from Michaels.  It took me forever and many tries to get the lettering stamped somewhat straight.  I gave up and decided the crooked letters gave it character.  It makes me appreciate clear cling stamps and acrylic blocks.  I need to invest in some more distress inks and maybe a craft heating tool. The background of the cards would have been much easier to create using distress ink.  I had to go with what I had on hand,  the card background was created with color pencils and lots of blending.  Of course after all that work I realized that I was working on my card upside down and that it opened the wrong way.  I had to cut the front off and remount the card on a new piece of card stock.  I hope you enjoy the card!!
